The ITEC Level 1 Certificate in An Introduction to the Hair and Beauty Sector allows students to develop their skills and techniques in the beauty Industry and giving them the abilities to carry out tasks that would normally be found in a Salon environment. This course is suitable for young people between the ages of 15-16 years of age who are interested in finding out what the Beauty Industry is all about. This will then lead to the Beauty Specialist Level 2 Diploma. It therefore gives a basic understanding to the Beauty Industry, there are no entry requirements. This Certificate has two mandatory units and three optional units and is Internally assessed. The Credit value 15, with a minimum of 9 credits at or above the level of the qualification. This Course includes Knowledge of Hygiene, Health and Safety, Equipment and Product Knowledge and Reception Duties.
